Please contact Nadine Buerger, Executive Director, nbuerger@useagle.org or call (505) 342-8794.
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, private entity that supports charitable activities by making grants to non-credit union, non-profit organizations, or institutions. We fully realize and act upon the belief that if discrimination, lack of financial literacy, equal access, and equal opportunity limit just one person, it limits us all.
The ARNIA Foundation was founded to drive our ‘people mean more’ philosophy by improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. We do this by promoting the financial health, knowledge and well-being of neighborhoods, schools, people, and our society at-large. We generously give to programs and projects that ‘make it better,’ and provide a safer place to live, learn, work and play.
Arnia means "strong as an eagle" and has a Native-American origination.
Within our social responsibility as a community business and partner,
we will work to create equal opportunity for a better life for all.
ARNIA Foundation's Financial literacy campaign:
ARNIA Foundation and US Eagle FCU have joined forces with Rio Grande Food Project and New Day to support their mission through accessible financial literacy programs. As part of their commitment, ARNIA Foundation has donated $20,000 at the beginning of the year and continues to raise donations through various fundraising activities, including the current popcorn sale, with all proceeds going towards supporting New Day and the Rio Grande Food Project.
To ensure that their financial literacy programs reach as many individuals as possible, ARNIA Foundation provides financial wellness coaches who are present monthly at Rio Grande Food Project's community hub. These coaches offer guidance and assistance to the clients, many of whom are unbanked or underbanked, by answering basic banking questions, helping them create budgets, and providing access to the online financial literacy center.
In addition to the monthly coaching sessions, ARNIA Foundation also conducts quarterly workshops at both partner locations. These workshops are tailored to the specific needs of the attendees.
Through their ongoing efforts and collaborations, ARNIA Foundation and US Eagle FCU continue to make significant strides in promoting and enabling financial literacy for individuals and communities. By offering accessible resources and tailored workshops, they are empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to achieve financial stability and success.
